NO BAND PRACTISE – Thursday 27^th August.

FROM THURSDAY 3^RD SEPTEMBER BAND PRACTISE WILL BE BACK AT THE 9^TH SCOUT HUT

GUIDE JUBILEE LAUNCH – Saturday 5^th September at Dewsbury Rams Stadium.  Everyone will be needed for this event.  Please meet at Dewsbury Rams stadium at 5.30pm in full uniform inc berets and sashes.  Bring all music, stand and lyre.  Those in contest band will need contest music as we will be performing the routine, as well as playing static and leading a parade.  We will be finished by 7.45pm but you can stay and watch the whole event if you like, but your parents will need to be responsible for you as I won’t be stopping.

FASHION SHOW – Monday 7^th September.  7.30pm at Scholes Cricket Club.  Tickets cost £2.50.  Please can everyone provide a raffle prize as soon as possible.  Please sell your tickets and let me know if you need any more.  Last year we raised over £450 and want to try and beat this figure this year.

The evening is very informal, a model will walk round the room wearing an item, you will be told what size and colour are available along with the price.  All items will be chain store / designer goods and will be available at a fraction of the retail price.  If you like an item you purchase it there and then, at the end of the evening you can try on the items you have purchased and if they don’t fit you can swap them for another size or get a full refund.

 

There will be items to suit all ages from teenagers upwards and as it is mainly women’s clothes that they sell, it is only open to women.

MUSIC WORKSHOP – Saturday 19^th September.

TYMBA SOLO’S DAY – Sunday 20^th September.  Meet at the scout hut at 7.45am.  Those taking part will need full uniform, instrument and solo’s music.  You also need something with your date of birth on i.e. passport (see me if you have any problems).  We will not be back in Cleckheaton until approx. 8pm.

DAVYHULME – Sunday 11^th October.  We will be travelling in cars to this contest as it is in Manchester.  Parents are welcome to come and watch.

TYMBA NATIONALS – Sunday 22^nd November.  We have managed to find a scout minibus we can use and looking to find a second one we can use in order to keep down costs.

BIRMINGHAM TATTOO – 28^th & 29^th November. This event will be for the older members of the band, not everyone is needed.
